Answer 1 :
Hi Lucky I found 15 state technical colleges that have a program in at least one of the following majors: Aesthetics/Skin Care , Cosmetic Services , Cosmetology , Facial Treatments , Make-up. The best program is to get the basic training at one of these schools, excel in your education, then go on to a business and education Bachelors program at one of the state 4-year schools. Amend your question to say which city you would prefer to be in or near and I can refine my answer to give you specific schools to explore.

How hard is it to transfer from community/tech college to Georgia State University and get accepted

How hard is it to transfer from community/tech college to Georgia State University and get accepted?

Answer 1 :
Depending on your grades and GPA, it's not that difficult. I got an acceptance months before the application deadline, I think it was because I made a good impression with the admissions counselor who handles transfer applicants when I spoke with her. Make sure you go to a campus visit and transfer information session. They record whether you did or not and it shows your interest in the school. Have you applied yet? They don't ask for much, e.g. no essays, letters of recommendation, and they only asked if I took the SAT or ACT - they didn't request my scores. I'm transferring from a technical school and I won't be living on campus - that may have played a part in their decision. It also depends on whether you want to graduate with a degree from their school or just take classes, etc. Also, your planned major - whether they have enough space for you.

Did Michael Crichton ever attend the Medical College of Georgia

Did Michael Crichton ever attend the Medical College of Georgia?
When I worked there many years ago the folks there claimed he did. But, I've never seen anything in his biographies that even suggest such. Thanks! I know what the biographies say, but, thanks anyway. How about this, did he ever lecture there? Teach there? Present a paper there? Surely all those folks that worked at MCG couldn't have been totally off base.

Answer 1 :
He may have taught or taken a class there, but he went to Harvard and I think Cornell. He got his MD at Jonas Salk in LaJolla. I don't think he ever really gave up studying or teaching, so it's very possible he had a relationship with the Medical College of Georgia.
Answer 2 :
There’s no record or mention of him ever having done so, and I have been researching Michael Crichton’s life and work for years. From the biography on Michael Crichton’s official website: “Crichton graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, received his MD from Harvard Medical School, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, researching public policy with Jacob Bronowski. He taught courses in anthropology at Cambridge University and writing at MIT.” “Educated at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, A.B. (summa cum laude) 1964 (Phi Beta Kappa). Henry Russell Shaw Travelling Fellow, 1964-65. Visiting Lecturer in Anthropology at Cambridge University, England, 1965. Graduated Harvard Medical School, M.D. 1969; post-doctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences, La Jolla, California 1969-1970. Visiting Writer, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1988.” http://www.michaelcrichton.com/aboutmichaelcrichton-biography.html Visit my blog “Musings on Michael Crichton”: http://www.musingsonmichaelcrichton.com/ For more info and links on Michael Crichton, check my message board: http://kahlessa.proboards80.com/
