How do I begin registered nursing school in Georgia when I have never attended college

How do I begin registered nursing school in Georgia when I have never attended college?
Becoming a ob/gyn nurse practioner is one of my biggest goals for myself, but I don't know where to begin being that I have never attended college before.I ultimately want to deliver babies. I have a love for it. If someone knows how I can get into school for this field, please by all means, respond to my question because I don't know where to start. I have a G.E.D. , and I know that I will have limited choices, but I am extremely determined to become an OB/GYN doctor.

you must take a test like sat or another test they have. Then take all your prereqs and make sure you make very good grade in like math english and things of that such. But it is endless possibilities for you in GA. I got my LPN in GA and if was free so good luck and dont' give up. Nursing school is very hard but no one can take away your dream
Answer 2 :
Depending whether or not you want to become a nurse or a doctor are two different matters. You can go to this site : http://www.allnursingschools.com/find/Georgia/nursing-schools.php which shows some nursing schools in Georgia. You might have to spend some time in a junior college to build up credits and qualification to apply to a major university. From there you just have to apply to the nursing program or apply to pre-med (becuase you mentioned that you wanted to be a doctor at the bottom). If you want to be a doctor, you're going to have to finish out at a major university/college and then apply to a medical school. From there it's just a matter of interning and finding a job.

Apply TODAY if you want to start this fall... College Applications were due last MONDAY Feb 1. You need to go to a near by high school and visit a Guidance Counsellor... They will probably get you an Ontario College Guide...Add to the fact that you should take your Credit Card because they can fill out the application process via on line...this will cost you around 80.00 bucks...but its quicker than snail mail...add to the fact that Nursing is a very high competitive program...Lot's of entries (I would advise you to register as a mature student) who are just out of high school and probably have high marks.... Good luck

http://chhs.georgiasouthern.edu/nursing/ http://www.gsw.edu/~son/ http://www.mcg.edu/SON/ Visit your community college and talk to them about their nursing programs. They can tell you about scholarships and financial aid. It is often easier to get started in a community college. They are smaller and help with courses you may struggle with. Most of the time they don't require ACT/SAT scores. They will understand your background and will help you fulfill your dream. Best wishes to you.
