Answer 1 :
so you ask in travel and not employment?
Answer 2 :
Most of College Park isn't too great of an area. I don't think a 16 year old should really work anywhere there -- the only place I could think of is maybe Zaxbys or Wal Mart on Old National. It's a couple miles from 285 so I would consider it a bit "safer" but still not great.
Answer 3 :
try the department of labor website. You can search for jobs by city and county and do most of the applications online. www.dol.state.ga.us/js/

First of all -- it isn't about the ranking -- it's about what college is the best fit for YOU! A college that is highly ranked but not the right fit for you won't help you at all. You may want to start out by thinking about some of the things that you are interested in. What kind of things do you like? Answering questions like these can help give you a rough idea for a major (which can help you narrow down the field). Of course, you don't have to decide on a college major tomorrow, but having some idea of the things you might want to consider as a possible future career can help you figure out what schools to start with! If you love art but a college has a weak program, then it's just one more you can cross off your list. Think about where these colleges are located. Do you prefer the city or a more rural area? A public college or private university? A large campus or a small one? That should help you tone down the list a bit more -- but if you aren't exactly sure, that's okay too -- it's all leading up to the college visit anyhow! The college visit is the most important step you can take in deciding where to go to college. Do you like the atmosphere? The food? What about the location? You'll be calling the area "home" for the next four years -- does it fit your lifestyle? You can browse college websites and connect with admissions reps on Twitter and Facebook. You can stay on top of what is going on at a college in real time and see if it matches what you want. Again, it isn't about the rankings but about figuring out where YOU fit in -- make the college campus visit! ;) Good luck!

Start with your FAFSA. www.fafsa.ed.gov You can apply for a Stafford loan from there. I would also look into the HOPE scholarship in Georgia. Figure out what school you want to attend and from there meet with a Financial Aid officer who should be able to advise you what specific steps you need to take. Good Luck to you.
Answer 2 :
It may be a bit cheaper there than in California. Why don't you trade off with a family to babysit part time and live in their home? I believe kids should concentrate on school and not work but if $$ is the problem as in most families then why don't you put in for some government grants. My tenant has two degrees and isn't pursuing anything related to them.. She is back in school on grants and now becoming an Oriental Medicine Doctor/Accupuncture. So I know it can be done, just takes time.. There are plenty of grants out there so go get them...Most colleges will give you some leads on the best places to look for them.
Answer 3 :
I agree with the first one. Your first step should be the FAFSA to help you out with grants and loans (that you don't have to pay back until after college). Just make sure you have all the important info. about yourself and both parents (W-2s, social security numbers, basic info). Look for a job on campus. Most colleges and universities have website for employment. These jobs pay a little bit more, especially if you have work-study, and are very flexible with your schedule. At my university, campus jobs range between minimum wage and $9 an hour. Work-study jobs range between $9-$15 an hour. You won't be able to make rent payments as well as other bills like utilities, phone AND paying for books and student expenses. So either get a job or take out loans if you don't want to work. Loans will hurt you in the long run because you will have to pay em off, so get a job. Or two jobs like me. Good luck!
